Computing
At Grace Cook we know how important it is for our children to develop their learning in an engaging way and build skills relevant for their future learning in addition to long-term life skills. Computing features heavily in our day-to-day lives and with this in mind, in addition to leading approaches to outdoor learning at Grace Cook we are also committed to making the most of advances in technology, both in and out of the classroom.
Grace Cook has made considerable investment in resources over recent years resulting in high-speed internet and wireless network capability across the school enabling both teachers and our children to use a range of devices to research, create, connect and share, developing both their digital literacy and computing skills.
Each class has interactive whiteboards, and we are able to deliver a computing curriculum that harnesses technology across the curriculum using iPads and Chromebooks. Technology skills are developed in all year groups throughout the school from Early Years onwards, with everything from remote-control toys, Bee-bots, and digital cameras
Our computing provision also extends outside of school, through access to online subscriptions for Number sense and Times Tables Rock Stars
