Severe Weather procedures

At Grace Cook Primary School and Nursery, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils, families, and staff are our top priority during periods of severe weather. The school will closely monitor government and local authority advice to determine whether it is safe to remain open.

If a decision is made to close the school due to severe weather conditions (such as snow, storms, or flooding), parents and carers will be informed promptly via Arbor. Please ensure your contact details are up to date in Arbor so that you receive these important notifications without delay.

If the school remains open, we ask families to take care when travelling and ensure children are dressed appropriately for the weather. The safety of everyone in our community is paramount, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during such circumstances.
